Beetroot Sabzi /Thoran / Upperi
Ingredients :-
Beetroot 2-3 Big size ( as much needed)
Green Chillies 2 -3 ( As per taste )
Oil 2 Tbsp
Salt 1 Tsp ( as per taste)
Pepper Powder 1 Tsp ( Optional )
Cumin Seeds/ Jeera 1 Tsp
Onion 1/2 - 1 Chopped
Pepper powder Optional
Method :-
1) Peel & Chop beetroot thinly .
2) In a wok add oil, once hot enough add Jeera , let it crackle.
3) Add Onion , salt ( which helps fasten the cooking process of onion )
4) Add Green chillies & saute for 2 mins
5) Add beetroot - Mix well.
6) Cover and cook until the beetroot are tender takes about 15-20 mins on low to medium flame .
7) You can sprinkle some pepper powder (TOTALLLY OPTIONAL )
Serve it along Rice and Curry or Roti .
