Masala Ghee Rice
I make extra rice whenever i decide to give my son ghee rice in his lunch box. Its easy for us to make and kids get hot lunch for the recess/Lunch break. so no Hurry and worry for mommies, you can also prepare this the night before and in the morning heat it well.
Ingredients :-
One day old RICE 1 Cup ( whatever quantity you have )
Ghee 1 Tbsp
Peanuts 1 Tbsp ( As per choice)
Turmeric Powder 1/2 Tsp
Salt 1 Tsp
Cumin seeds/ Jeera 1 Tsp
Curry Leaves 3-5
Onion 1 Small
Red Chilli Powder 1/2 Tsp to as per your taste
Coriander Leaves As per taste.
Lemon /Lime 1/2 ( Optional)
Method:-
1) In a kadai , Take around 1 Tbsp Ghee, when hot add Peanuts and roast it until golden brown and remove it in a bowl.
2) In the same kadai , add 1 Tsp Cumin seeds -let it crackle and add curry leaves.
3) Add Chopped Onion , Salt , Rice , turmeric Powder & Red chilli powder .
4) Cover and cook on low flame until the rice is soft and everything can be combined.
5) Garnish with coriander /Cilantro leaves & squeeze half lime .
That's It ! Its ready to eat .
