SWEET, SOUR & SPICY TOMATO CURRY


This recipe is courtesy my dad who is super chef. He can convert any dish into lip smacking delicacies ..Hands down to all mens who can cook. He is the reason for my love & passion for cooking . If you are someone who cant cook at all, this recipe is a good example to try your initial skills on.

Grab some tomatoes and let's begin the cooking .

Ingredients :-

Tomatoes 6-7 ( As needed )

Salt 1 Tsp

Turmeric Powder 1 Tsp

Jaggery / Sugar 1 Small piece

Oil 2 Tbsp

Green chilly/ Garlic / Ginger 1 Tsp ( as per taste)

Cumin Seeds / Jeera - 1 tsp

Asafoetida /Hing - 1 tsp

Method:-

1) Wash and chop the tomatoes into wedges , just like in the picture. 1 tomato into 4 equal slice.

2) Take a Kadai / Wok , Add oil - once hot add Cumin seeds and asafoetida (Hing) - let it crackle .

3) Then add Ginger/ Garlic/ Green Chilly paste - and saute for 2 mins .

* If you had seen my video on my veggie garden , had tons of chillies so prepared - paste of ginger/ garlic and green chillies adding 1 tsp of salt - store in the freezer and thaw when needed.

4) Add tomatoes sliced , add Salt & turmeric powder and cover and cook for 10 mins .

5) Add Jaggery and uncover and cook for 10 mins more .
