A Doctor with a green thumb !
Happy -2019 Peeps!
May each day of your life to be filled with success, happiness, and prosperity! Cheers to a better life and bright future.
Its been 7 months since I last posted, have been pretty busy lately. However, With this new year, let's get going & continue to inspire one another.
Let's begin!
Introducing Dr.Yogya Jha, a loving friend, a humble doctor, an amazing Gardener & last but not the least a brilliant and passionate cook.
Talking about lack of time these days. In today's fast-paced life, I am yet to meet another doctor who has mastered her passion so beautifully along with other duties.
Those who manage too many things each day, you know not every day is the same. We often are in a state of dilemma & run out of time to get things done on time & that's OKAY!
This time around keeping the post pretty short & simple and letting the photos speak the volume!
Over to Dr. Yogya in her own words.
Hi Everyone!
My name is Dr.Yogya Jha. I have loved plants all along. My mom was my biggest inspiration. I have learned a lot from her. She had green fingers. She taught me lots of botanical names of plants and flowers, and how to take care of the garden. Gardening gives u a feeling of utmost joy and takes u close to nature. Mom always said plants are living things so they too need love and affection.!
My clinic name is Arogya Diagnostic Clinic, in Balewadi, Pune. I do gardening in my clinic garden ( ie on the ground floor) and also have a terrace garden. First and foremost getting the " WATER PROOFING "done is crucial. If you skip this, it will for sure call for complete damage & leakage over the years.
I also do my gardening at my home & blessed to own three huge balconies. I love and enjoy growing flowers, as much as veggies. Together they make a great combination.
Some of the flowers include roses, morning glory, chrysanthemums, ixora, Adenium obesum, passion flower, mogra, lilies, dahlia, aboli, orchid, balsam, petunias, different varieties of hibiscus....etc
We grow vegetables like cabbage, tomatoes, capsicum, chilies, ridge gourd, cherry tomatoes, lemons, lady finger, mint, methi, coriander, Baby spinach, brinjal, Ajwain, lemon grass, bottle gourd. etc
And the list keeps increasing.
Gardening is the achievement that I celebrate every day, in various forms such as
bright colored blooms, the abundance of harvest, the best part of gardening is the taste of organic home cooked meal which you will notice immediately, cannot miss out to mention how my tiny feathered visitors bring so much beauty and joy, the constant love, and support from family and friends & friends on social media with their motivating comments and praises that I receive is overwhelming, thank you if you reading this.
-all of the above and much more makes my garden inviting & brings out a zen moment for me and my family to live in. It also creates a natural green screen, blocking the view of the concrete jungle, which is absolute bliss.

* Maximum use of any space (small or large) can be achieved by proper selection & placement of plants.
* Before purchasing any plants, make sure you try to keep a close look on how many hours of sunshine that your garden space receives each day, which further helps you decide on plant selection you can make.
*There is various kind of shade plants which are also available at local nurseries which can thrive without any direct sunlight. I have a wide variety of plants in my garden and also like to play around with different textured plants as well.

To answer all the readers in case you wondering why there are no plates underneath any of the pots and on water wastage ?
Plates are avoided because :-
* First of all to avoid any kind of water accumulation, which causes infectious diseases & to eliminate all potential breeding sites for mosquitoes.
* Secondly the plates causes the roots to rot.
* Water is poured manually with a watering can with Sprinkler Nozzle head , which makes it very easy to save water to maximum and no soil wastage .
I am so excited to be part of this blog and loved sharing my garden pictures with the readers.
Thanks,
