Tindora/ Ivy Gourd Side Dish

Ingredients :-

1) Tindora / Ivy Gourd

2) Salt - 1 Tsp

3) Turmeric Powder -1 Tsp

4) Red Chilly Powder -1 Tsp ( As per taste)

5) Garlic Powder / Garlic Paste -1/2 Tsp ( As per taste)

6) Chat Masala Powder - 1/2 Tsp ( Optional)

7) Oil ( Olive oil /Avacado Oil/ Coconut Oil) - 2 Tbsp

8) Hing / Asafoetida -1/2 Tsp

9) Garam Masala Powder -1 tsp

Method :-

1) Soak the tindora(Veggie) in a bowl full of water, Vinegar (1-2 Tbsp or more ) & 1 Tsp of Baking powder(Optional) for 20-25 Minutes.

2) After 20 mins, wash it with fresh water once or twice and wipe it dry.

3) Cut into thin slices as shown below.

Make sure the slices are not super thin, as it can burn down.

4) Gather all the sliced tindora pieces in a bowl and add in all the masala & combine all well together until the tindora's are properly coated with the masala.

Masala :- ( Salt, Turmeric Pwdr, Red Chilly Pwdr, Chat masala Pwdr, Garam Masala Pwdr, Oil & Garlic paste/ Pwdr)

5) #Airfryer used here is #GOURMIA

6) Transfer the masala coated tindora into the tray of the air fryer & cook on 370 F for 15 mins !

** Tips/ Note :- In the midst of cooking around 7 mins, pull open the tray half way and give it a shake to mix well ( so it cooks evenly) & close back.

7) If you think the tindora cooked exactly the way you want, you are ready to serve and relish !

If not you can cook extra 1 or 2 minutes .

Other Veggies that can be made the same way with exact same masala :- Bhendi / Okra, Bitter gourd/Karela , Cauliflower, zukini etc
